The clocks have changed, the sun is setting ridiculously early, and suddenly 6 p.m. feels like bedtime. But just because the days are getting shorter doesn't mean we need to spend the next two months on the sofa!
November and December are full of reasons to get out and enjoy our little corner of Colorado. From live music and theater to holiday markets, creative workshops, festive lights, and a few good excuses to grab a cocktail with friends, there's plenty happening in Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, and our neighboring foothills communities.
I've rounded up some fun ways to fill your calendar over the next several weeks. Whether you're looking for a date night, something to do with the kids, a little local shopping, or simply an excuse to get out of the house, there's something here for you.
And while the holidays certainly bring plenty of festivities, not everything on this list involves Santa, twinkling lights, or ugly sweaters. Sometimes you just need something fun to look forward to.
So grab your calendar, make a few plans, and let's make the most of these shorter days. And before you go, be sure to scroll down to the end of the list for some wonderful ways to give back this season. From donating gifts and food to volunteering your time, a little generosity can go a long way in our community.
